Kip is a leading professional in the emerging field of sports-based youth development, possessing extensive experience in program design, delivery and evaluation, with a special emphasis on school communities.

Upon moving to New York City in 2007, Kip managed Academic after-school programs in public schools across the 5 boroughs, which provided a range of experience in the dynamism of urban public education.

Kip began volunteering with Play Rugby in the autumn of 2010, and then joined as full-time staff as the Sports Leadership Academy Community Director in spring of 2011. Kip joined Play Rugby to design and implement a multi-sport direct service after-school program at 2 elementary schools; the Sports Leadership Academy (SLA). After successful design and implementation of the SLA program model, Kip was promoted to lead all programs, and from November 2015 to September 2018 served as the Senior Program Director. In this capacity Kip was responsible for P&L for all programs, as well as the design, delivery and development of Play Rugby programs in NYC, Los Angeles and San Francisco/Bay Area.

In 2014, Kip began consulting engagements with clients in a part-time capacity taking on facilitation projects, and design and evaluation projects to support organizations in delivering value. These part-time opportunities laid the foundation for KGO Consulting.

In 2018, Kip was invited to join the Leadership Council for Laureus USA Sport for Good Foundation’s Sport for Good NYC. Kip has served as the Chairperson for the Leadership Council from 2018 and will continue in this capacity in 2019.

In 2005, Kip received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2014, Kip received his M.A. from New York University’s Steinhardt School in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy.
